Parallels Overheating Mac

Tried these things:Reinstalling VMware toolsShutting off unneeded services one at a timeReclaiming Disk spaceRebooting the hostChanged Cpu allocation to just 1 CPU and RAM allocated to 4GBWent through these forums looking Navigate to the original virtual machine's hard disk file. (By default it is located in Macintosh HD > Users > username > Documents > Parallels > original Virtual machine name.pvm > This fixed it: In Chrome, go to chrome://flags and set 'GPU compositing on all pages' to "Disabled".
I'm experiencing the same issues of poor performance, 1 CPU core usage on and off with VMware Fusion 7 as well as Parallels Desktop 9 exhibits the same behavior. Cheers, and take care. Let us know a. This would explain why (when Chrome isn't running) I'm seeing about double the CPU usage for the "Parallels VM" Mac process as I see being used by all process when viewing Consider changing the number of cores you have delegated from 4 cores to 2. Before I'd always check and yeah you'd see Shockwave Flash running at 60% CPU or something crazy and force stop it but when it does it now there's nothing out of Prl_vm_app Launch your virtual machine and check how much CPU is used by the prl_vm_app or Parallels VM process. (Both are names for virtual machine processes in different versions of Parallels Desktop.)
Those services - a few of which were changed or reset in Win 10's latest update - can really hot up a PC or VM; there's much to be read about Parallels Support Welcome to Mac-Forums! Money spent, nothing changed... If I start any of my VMs, pro_vm_app goes to 100% CPU usage and Windows is basically unusable. Under Parallels plan, click Change plan settings. I'm using VMs of Win 7/8.1/10 - in Win 10, I've disabled the 10-12 "Services" that download/upload service updates on all of my VMs. How To Reinstall Parallels Tools

I had no problems on El cap 10.11.1, CPU usage used to be quite low and fans used to be around 3500/4000 rpm max and temp used to be around 80.

I do not see where Windows 7 which is the version I use is causing any issues.
Any suggestions on how to make things better? But the issue still remains At the moment, the only way to avoid this problem is to uncheck the "Share Windows applications with Mac" (as some other user already noticed). It sounds like you have accepted poor performance and don't care. I have a Mac Pro 12 core with 24gb ram and two screens. Those services - a few of which were changed or reset in Win 10's latest update - can really hot up a PC or VM; there's much to be read about Patience, and Cheers!

Please post if you have. If the new test virtual machine consumes a low percentage of CPU (between 0,5 and 20%): Stop both virtual machines (the original one and the test one) if they are running. So much so that my Fan on my Macbook Air goes into overdrive to cool things off. Now my mac gives high CPU usage under Parallels desktop and fans are always running at full rpm.

PID is the process ID of the application.
